Overview
We strive to approach every part of our business as responsibly as possible.
That means durable product using high quality materials in small batch, collaborating and supporting organisations working hard to make positive impacts, and tightening up the smaller aspects of running a business that are often overseen.
The term sustainable is often tossed around and used far too lightly these days. It’s a term that calls us not to take more from nature than we can give back.
To be responsible is to be aware, aware that our actions and activities more often than not interfere with nature's capacity to regenerate itself..
We hope to influence those that came before us, and inspire those after.
Materials
-
Environment and Soil Health - organic cotton is grown without synthetic pesticides, fertilisers, or harmful chemicals, which preserves soil biodiversity and reduces environmental impact.
Water Conservation - unlike conventional cotton, organic cotton requires less water and energy. Grown on small-scale, often rain-fed farms, it improves soil’s water retention, reduces reliance on irrigation, and minimises stress on local water sources.
Social and Ethical Benefits - organic cotton promotes fair labour practices and healthier livelihoods for farmers and their families. By eliminating exposure to toxic chemicals, it ensures safer working conditions and allows farmers to grow additional crops for food and income.
Quality and Comfort - organic cotton is known for its high quality. Thanks to its fibres being longer and stronger than non-organic cotton, therefore it's more durable and can withstand more wear and tear. Finally, as it's grown without synthetics, it tends to have a softer feel and is less likely to cause skin irritation.
