OUR COMMITMENT

We strive to approach every part of our business as responsibly as possible.

That means creating durable products, in small batch, that use high quality materials. Collaborating with local business, supporting organisations working hard to make positive impacts, and tightening up the smaller aspects of running a business that are often overseen.

The term sustainable is often tossed around and used far too lightly these days. It’s a term that calls us not to take more from nature than we can give back.

To be responsible is to be aware, aware that our actions and activities more often than not interfere with nature's capacity to regenerate itself..

We hope to influence those that came before us, and inspire those after.

Organic cotton offers strong environmental and agricultural benefits. Grown with synthetics pesticides or fertilisers, it preserves soil biodiversity and reduces environmental impact. Typcially farmed on small-scale, rain-fed plots, it uses less water and energy than conventional cotton. Improved soil moisture retention lowers irrigation needs and reduces pressure on local water supplies.

It also delivers important social and ethical benefits. By avoiding chemicals, it ensures safer working conditions and supports healthier livelihoods, often allowing farmers to grow food crops alongside cotton. With longer, stronger fibres, organic cotton is more durable, softer, and less likely to irritate skin, making it a high-quality, comfortable choice.

Whilst we know it isn’t as preferable as more responsible alternatives out there, these 100% Cotton blanks have allowed us to release our first t-shirts, so early in the piece. We aim to move past using conventional cotton reasonably quickly. For now, we’re content but not satisfied with using a blank that comes from a company with deep values of Social Responsibility and ties to the Better Cotton Initiative, an amfori membership, and uses Certified Non-Toxic Dyes with an OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certification.
